Hi Trevor & Maria,
It's here! Your final Master Bedroom design is ready to view!
We've loved working on this space and to accompany your room design we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole - check it out!
Your shopping list:
As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!
You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.
There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.
Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.
Design Narrative:
The main focal point in your Master Bedroom will be your new king size bed. With its deep navy colourway and high feature chesterfield headboard this will create a wow factor for sure! As well as the bed being a showstopper, it is also super practical as it gives you plenty of storage space due to its ottoman feature below. We have chosen smooth plain white bed linen with a soft grey piped edge which gives you a hotel luxe feel. We have further added a trio of cushions in soft grey and mustard, whilst a textured throw in charcoal completes the bed.
At the foot of the bed we have allowed for a beautiful blanket box. The button backed appearance matches the headboard well and again gives you a sensible storage solution whilst giving an air of extravagance to the room by elongating the bed.
To the right of the bed you will see your brand new accent chair in eye-catching mustard. We feel that this corner was made for this chair! With its beautiful colour and impressive winged arms it will add an extra feature to the space and work well with other mustard items within the room. We have added a contrasting navy cushion to give an extra pop to this piece of furniture.
To the right of your accent chair you will see your new curtains. To further contrast against the chair we have allowed for them to be in navy blue, picking up the rich colour of the bed perfectly whilst giving an extra luxe feel with a velvet finish. We have allowed for some options from Curtains 2 Go as well as Hillary's. Curtains 2 Go are very competitively priced but will rely on the customer to measure the space and hang the curtains. Alternatively you could opt for Hillary's or a similar company where you pay more but they will come out and measure up/ fit your curtains for you. As you have many windows to dress throughout your house it may be worth considering using Curtains 2 Go due to their price point and fabric choices and then hiring a handyman to fit them. If you would like us to order any curtain samples for you please let us know.
We have opted for Farrow & Ball School House White for your walls- this is a contemporary off-white colour that will soften the room whilst bouncing light around the space. It is definitely worth getting samples of possible paint colours before committing to your chosen colour. Allow to paint different walls throughout the room with the paint sample so you get a true reflection of the colour throughout the space.
The artwork within the room has been kept to a relatively minimal colour palette in whites and blacks, with feature text. We felt that this works the best in the space as colour is picked up elsewhere throughout the room.
Finally we have given Maria's existing dressing table a small make over! We have added a feature desk lamp for much needed task lighting. In elegant white marble and brass this desk lamp will add a contemporary edge to the dressing table. We have also allowed for some storage cubes in a navy velvet finish as well as a new mustard stool which works so well with the other features within the room. The added pop of colour updates this area with ease.
We have really enjoyed working on your design. Once you have digested it all please get in touch and tell us what you think!
Please feel free to ask us if you have any queries about your room design or shopping list. Enjoy!
Warm wishes,
Emma & Harriet.
