We've loved working on your Second Guest Bedroom and to accompany your room design we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole, including some tips- check it out!

Your shopping list:

As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!

You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.

There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.

Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.

Design Narrative:

When your Guests enter your new spare bedroom their eyes will be drawn to the new feature wall in Farrow and Ball, De Nimes. This is a beautiful, grounded denim blue that will add a touch of drama without being too bold. Painting the rear wall in this deeper shade gives the room a focal point and helps give the illusion of an elongated space. The walls surrounding this feature wall are painted in Farrow and Ball Shaded White which is a versatile off white that pairs well with the blue tones throughout your Guest Bedroom.

Sitting against your painted feature wall is your new upholstered double bed in a plush navy velvet finish. The dark navy shade will sing against the calming tone of De Nimes and the velvet texture gives a feeling of luxury and opulence. The bed is super comfortable in design and with the addition of its cushioned headboard it is the perfect spot for guests to rest after a busy day. The contemporary design of the metal legs marry perfectly with other modern elements within the room. To dress your bed we have proposed pure white bed linen which will provide a blank canvas for the plethora of blue and blush toned cushions that will soften the room and add a touch of femininity. We've finished off the bed with a cosy knitted throw that ties in with the throws found in Guest Bedroom One - these little touches will help give your home a cohesive feel without being too similar.

Either side of your bed are your existing bedside tables; these are contemporary in design but their walnut style finish give a subtle nod to retro styling. Sitting on top of your bedside tables is a pair of domed table lamps with opal glass shades. Theses bedside lights play on the hints of retro and modern styling throughout your Guest Bedroom and offer a beautiful warm light for your guests in the evening.

We've added small accessories such as plants and vases in tones of navy and blush to help reinforce the cohesive colour theme throughout the room.

Found on the left hand side wall of your bed is your trio of new artwork. Again, this mirrors the style in Guest Bedroom One whilst also being quite different in nature. Here we have opted for a small gallery of artwork in differing sizes, each framed in black to tie in with the black features found in your new bed and existing bedside tables. The artwork consists of calming abstracts pieces and meaningful typography.

Finishing off the space is your gorgeous new warm white conical pendant light. The pendant is simple and chic in style whilst its design offers a stunning diffused light which will add a glow to your Guest Bedroom.

We had hoped to fit an ottoman in at the base of your guest bed however it is incredibly tight and allowing for an ottoman means the door to the bedroom wouldn't close. This would offer your guests little privacy so we decided to omit this item. If you feel you need additional storage in this room we have allowed for some storage beds in the alternatives section of your shopping list.
