Hi Peta & Karl,
It's here! Your final Basement & First Floor Landing designs are ready to view!
We've loved working on these spaces and to accompany your room designs we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole - check it out!
Your shopping list:
As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!
You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.
We have added a number of beautiful styling pieces to your shopping list, however you may find you already have candles and frames you would like to repurpose.
There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.
Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.
Design Narrative:
Basement Hallway
As you step down to your basement hallway you will first be drawn to your fabulous David Bowie artwork that hangs proudly on the wall. Moving this piece of artwork to the basement hallway allows the colours to sing against your chocolate parquet timber flooring. The piece ties in nicely with your existing monochrome stair runner but adds a bright pop of colour to the space. Below your artwork sits your new zebra print hide rug, slightly smaller than your existing hide rug, this zebra skin playfully frames the entrance to your bar and cinema room, hinting at the fun to be had!
To the left hand side of your basement hallway sits your existing telephone table, the table is substantial enough to have impact but doesn't dominate the space. Some bright vases sit on top to add colour and texture whilst your arrow light box finishes the space off.
First Floor Hallway
The focal point of your First Floor Hallway is undoubtably your striking new loveseat. Upholstered in a hot pink velvet with turned oak legs it's certainly a showstopper piece of furniture. We feel the classic, elegant shape of the loveseat paired with the playful, bright Peony velvet perfectly embodies your style.
The shade of the velvet will look magical against the monochrome carpet that runs throughout the hallway. To add even more depth of colour we've proposed pairing the loveseat with teal velvet and intricately beaded zebra print cushions.
Sitting alongside your new loveseat is a low bookshelf in a sleek black metal finish. Adorned with books, feature bookends, candles and frames the shelving unit anchors the purpose of the space as a cosy reading nook. On top of the bookshelf sits colourful glass candle holders and a ceramic vase of preserved foliage which will add greenery whilst also being easy to maintain!
Hung centrally above the bookshelf is your existing map artwork, the history behind which adds a personal touch the space.
Finishing off this vignette is your existing floor lamp shade sat atop it's new brass lamp base. The gold lining of the shade will give you the perfect glow for evening reading, you won't want to leave this cosy little spot!
We have really enjoyed working on your design. Once you have digested it all please get in touch and tell us what you think!
Your two week post-design support starts now! So please feel free to ask us if you have any queries about your room design. Enjoy!
Warm wishes,
Emma & Harriet.
