We've loved working on your Playroom and to accompany your room design we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole, including some tips- check it out!

Your shopping list:

As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!

You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.

There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.

Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.

Design Narrative:

As Pippa & Fred enter the room the first thing they will see is the beautiful vintage wallpaper that adorns the walls. The hand-illustrated wallpaper playfully depicts the wildlife of a mythical world. This sets the scene perfectly for the children to immerse themselves in playing and using their imagination! This paper works well as it will grow with the children due to its vintage edge rather than nursery feel. The wallpaper sits at a high price point so to reduce this we can offer you a 20% trade discount if you do want to proceed. Another way to reduce the cost would be to consider just using the feature paper on the fireplace elevation and allow for the other walls to be painted. To decorate the walls above the wallpaper, including the ceiling and woodwork, we have picked out a colour that fits with the background of the wallpaper- Farrow & Ball School House White.

To the right of the fireplace will be your brand new fitted cupboards with shelving above. We have added some beautiful handles to the shopping list in a brass finish, alongside some fun animal themed ones in the alternatives section. On the shelves above we have allowed for some stackable toy storage crates which are available in a beautiful palette of fun colours.

For the kids to comfortably play, we have added in a distressed oversize rug in beautiful warm tones. The rug has the well-worn look of a unique vintage find and is velvety soft to the touch.

The proposed furniture in the room consists of a new table, chair and two stools. Made from tough Nordic oak this furniture is perfect for Pippa & Fred and brightens up the room with its striking white veneer finish.

For toy storage we have gone bright and bold with the Hachiman storage buckets. These add some fun and colour to the room, as well as practicality as these buckets will last for many years to come.

To light the playroom we have allowed for a natural bamboo ceiling pendant. With a nod to Nordic design this pendant adds an organic, textured feel to the room.

Alongside your fantastic art prints we have allowed for a few feature pieces to adorn the mantelpiece. These pieces fit in well with the vintage scandi theme of the room and pick up on some of the animals found in the feature wallpaper. To the left of the fireplace we have allowed for a unique circular shelf in birch plywood. On this shelf you can add finishing touches that can grow with your children through the years.

Finally to adorn your existing sofa we have allowed for some cushions to pop against the navy fabric. We have added a mix of gold, leopard print and an adorable giraffe to add some playfulness to the sofa, and to give you the perfect place to perch while Pippa and Fred are playing!
