Hi Amy,
It's here! Your final design is ready to view!
We've loved working on your Master Bedroom and to accompany your room design we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole, including some tips- check it out!
Your shopping list:
As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!
You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.
There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.
Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.
Design Narrative:
When entering your new Master Bedroom your focus will be drawn to your new full height panelled wall painted in a striking navy blue shade. This elegant take on panelling will help give your bedroom a timeless feel and provides the perfect backdrop for your gorgeous new bed.
The walls throughout your bedroom are going to be freshly painted in Farrow & Ball, Skimming Stone which sings against the contrasting Hague Blue used on the panelling. You will note we have used Skimming Stone in the guest bedroom but due to the different aspect of the rooms this paint colour will take on a slightly warmer and cosier tone in your bedroom which gets slightly less natural light than your Guest Bedroom.
In front of your feature panelled wall we have allowed for a new super king storage bed which beautifully marries aesthetics with the practicality of plenty of storage and space. Upholstered in a sumptuous blue button back velvet this bed sits beautifully against the deep navy panelling and gives an on trend tonal feel to the space. To dress the bed we have plumped for crisp white bed linen paired with a stunning new dusty blush bedspread and a plethora of cushions in stone, navy and blush tones. These individual pieces come together to create a luxurious bed set up that you won't want to get out of in the morning!
Either side of your new bed sits your existing dark timber bedside tables, now adorned with new smoked glass table lamps with blush shades, which will cast an elegant warm glow around your room when lit.
At the foot of your bed a new navy sheepskin rug is draped over your existing blanket box to help soften and add drama. To finish off and anchor the bed vignette is a large abstract print rug which beautifully ties in the navy and neutral tones of your new Master Bedroom.
A new blind with navy flocked pattern adds a wow factor to your window and compliments the tones found throughout the bedroom. The geometric print is a subtle nod to the Art Deco era and the luxurious, tactile fabric has a timeless elegance about it.
To the other side of the room you will see your brand new accent chair in a delicate blush pink. We feel that this corner was made for this chair! With its beautiful warm colour and simple button back it will add an extra feature to the space and work well with other blush items within the room.
Next to the new accent chair sits your existing chest of drawers with your newly framed beautiful wedding photograph hanging above. We have opted for a simple grey frame for this photograph as we want the focus to be on the lovely memories held in the image as opposed to the framing. Having the photograph printed at 40 x 60cm will mean it can sit proudly in the 50 x 70cm frame we have picked out for you.
Finally, to create the perfect vista from your hallway we have allowed for a wonderful watercolour print to sit above your existing chest of drawers. The delicate watercolour by LA based artist Jen Garrido brings together the colour palette of the room. Finally, a vase full of dried flowers gives warmth and interest to the room.
Similarly to your Guest Bedroom, in your ensuite we have allowed for a new bespoke vanity unit that could be built around your existing pedestal sink. We have opted for this to be painted in Farrow & Ball Elephants Breath, in-keeping with the design of the rest of your home. We have also proposed a bespoke tall unit behind your door to offer even more storage. You will need to seek out a carpenter to carry out these works and places such as Checkatrade are a wonderful place to start looking as you can see plenty of examples of their work and reviews.
To finish your ensuite we some navy & neutral textured towels to complement the design.
We have really enjoyed working on your design. Once you have digested it all please get in touch and tell us what you think!
Also please feel free to ask us if you have any queries about your room design. Enjoy!
Warm wishes,
Emma & Harriet.
