Hi Amy,
It's here! Your final design is ready to view.
We've loved working on your Hallway and Cloakroom and to accompany your room designs we've included a design narrative below which explains how the concept works as a whole, including some tips- check it out!
Your shopping list:
As part of the free personal shopping service you have the option of ordering your items directly through us by adding them to your shopping basket. This is particularly helpful if you are ordering from numerous retailers as you only have to add your details once and our personal shopping team will sort the rest!
You’ll see that we’ve included a number of alternatives at different price points for each category in your shopping list, just click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list, so have a play with different combinations. You’ll also see that the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.
There are a small selection of retailers who only deliver directly to the account holder therefore we are unable to offer as part of our personal shopping service. If you do select anything from these retailers there is a handy link on the product which takes you to the retailers' site for you to purchase directly.
Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, so if you really love certain items it is best to purchase those first. However your shopping list will stay open as long as you like, so you can purchase the key pieces first and then add to them whenever you are ready.
Design Narrative:
On entering your lovely home you and your guests will be met by a welcoming first impression. The newly painted walls in Farrow and Ball, Mizzle, will give a soft grey green shade that is both fresh and subtle.
As you walk into your hallway, not only will you and your guests get glimpses of your lovely living room, but they will also be struck by a beautiful new vista created by a new console table from Cox & Cox. The slender lines of the console table allow it to fit snuggly against your wall whilst the two drawers allow for keys to be hidden from sight. The console is painted a warm grey which is welcoming and works well with the accessories that have been added to the scheme.
Above the console table will sit a beautiful round mirror. This helps to anchor the console table and adds to the new vista we have created. The mirror has a ribbed wooden frame in a metallic finish which works seamlessly with the finishes in your living room. The mirror will act to bounce light around and will help to create a feeling of space in this area. Unfortunately this mirror is out of stock presently, and although we have added in some great alternatives, we think it’s worth the wait!
On top of the console table you will see a feature lamp that adds both interest to the area as well as offering you a layered lighting scheme. The table lamp has a three-glass ball base which adds character to the space without it being overpowering. The white fabric shade ensures that enough light is able to break through, helping to brighten the hallway.
To the right hand side of the table lamp we have added a fantastic blush pink vase. Its playful and fun shape keeps the area looking contemporary whilst the ribbed black ceramic vase contrasts wonderfully and adds texture. A sprig of Leaf Spray gives just the right amount of greenery to the area. To the bottom shelf we have carried on the playful theme by adding in a spherical speckled vase and an organic black vase, both creating interest by their shape and texture. The vista can be finished by yourself with a few well-chosen books.
The hallway will not only interest your eyes, but the new runner on the floor will also give your feet some love! The runner in moleskin colour has a handwoven finish with a tip-sheared distressed effect and a high sheen which will give comfort and warmth whilst adding an interesting finish to the floor. This will work well with your existing floor tiles and will lift the whole room.
Moving onto the Cloakroom you and your guests will LOVE walking into this space which will be a fun feast for the eyes! This little room will burst with character due to its fantastic new wallpaper. The blush background of this wallpaper works beautifully with the green tones of the palms and the subtle shimmer found in the finish gives a wonderful luxe statement.
We have teamed the wallpaper up with some new splashback tiles in a fabulous kit kat mosaic form. The mint green of the tiles work well with the lush greens in the wallpaper and add detail to the new Cloakroom.
To make the most of the view of the new tiled splashback we suggest a new wall mounted soap dispenser. This will allow you to store your hand wash and lotion in a neat and organised way and keep your existing sink uncluttered.
To the rear of your Cloakroom we have allowed for new timber shelves in a black finish. We have opted for a shaker style shelf which is traditional in design but painted in Farrow & Ball Railings gives it a more contemporary feel. On the shelves we have added a couple of items to carry on the blush and black textured theme and also allowed for a couple of photo frames in silver and black. Adding a few books to the shelves will successfully complete the montage and will finish off the room nicely.
We have really enjoyed working on your design. Once you have digested it all please get in touch and tell us what you think!
Your two week post-design support starts now! So please feel free to ask us if you have any queries about your room design. Enjoy!
Warm wishes,
Emma & Harriet.
